Shakshouka – Eggs in Spiced Tomato Sauce
A one-pan wonder: shakshouka blends eggs with a spiced tomato sauce, perfect for breakfast, lunch, or brunch.


📝 Ingredients (4 Servings):


• 1 tbsp olive oil

• 1 onion, diced

• 2 bell peppers, sliced

• 3 cups canned diced tomatoes

• 1 tsp cumin

• 1 tsp paprika

• ¼ tsp cayenne (optional)

• 4 eggs

• Salt & pepper

• Fresh cilantro or parsley (for garnish)



🔥 Instructions:


  1. Heat oil in a skillet, sauté onion and bell peppers until soft.

  2. Stir in tomatoes and spices. Simmer uncovered for 10–15 mins until thickened.

  3. Make 4 wells in the sauce and gently crack in eggs.

  4. Cover and cook 6–8 mins until eggs are just set.

5. Garnish with cilantro and serve with crusty bread.
